Don't Rush Yourself, But Remain Consistent

This is something that has always bugged me...

My peers always say something along the lines of, "I'm too busy for that." or, "I have 3 kids and a full time job, I have no time to pursue anything else." or, "I have to focus on my degree, I can't dedicate time for that."

Obviously, those are all top priorities...

But there is ALWAYS time to pursue your goals and other ambitions. It's possible to have multiple things in that top priority bracket.

If you say you don't have time, you're really just saying "I don't WANT to make time for it."

It's all your choice.

Will you be tired as shit? YES.

Will you have to sacrifice other things? YES (For example, next time you feel like watching 5 episodes of your favorite Netflix show, you can instead dedicate 5 hours to your goals.)

Will you have to say no to that party or social function you were invited to? YES (excluding networking events with like minded people. For example, an ASCAP convention.)

Will you have to turn down sexy time with that person you like? YES

If you say you can't sacrifice things like that, than you are telling yourself you don't care enough about your goals or your future to get things done and progress.

It doesn't even have to be 5 hours.

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE who is fortunate enough to take control... has the ability to set aside 30 minutes every day for their ambitions.

Another thing that is very important - DO NOT COMPARE YOUR TIMELINE WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

It's okay if it takes you 3, 5 or even 10 years to reach that milestone you've been working at. Who cares if Bob or Jackie just got their first platinum record and bought their first house when you've been working longer than them?

It doesn't matter at all what they are doing. It matters what YOU do, on a DAILY basis.

If you remain consistent and actively/consciously set time aside, you WILL reach those milestones.

With all that said... it is also perfectly okay to take a day off every now and then. Decompress your thoughts. Have a few beers, smoke a few bowls. Reward yourself... but AFTER you've put in work.

There are opportunities for success available to absolutely anybody who wants it. Especially now in today's modern music industry (or any industry for that matter0.

We no longer are limited to chasing the "gate keepers" for placements on big label names.

It's all in our hands now.. but only if we are willing to work for it.

okay... that's the end of my rant for now. I hope you read this far.

Now... if you're fired up and ready to work...
